Blogger has been very uncooperative lately, so I haven't been able to post anything, much less, write anything, for a while.
We are finally suppose to have warm, dry weather for mare than a day at a time. We did have 10% chance of thunderstorms last night, and wouldn't you know it, we actually had them. Today is 20%, at least it was the last time I checked the National Weather Service site, which was last night, so who knows what we'll get.
Today is my birthday and it has rained a good number of them. I've decided I really need to get in better shape. I look like someone's grandmother. It doesn't matter that I am someone's grandmother.
Daniel took Amy and I garage/yard saleing yesterday. Amy thinks it's funny how I always find what I want at them. Yesterday, I found an opened bag of fiber fill. It's almost a whole bag and it was on my list of things to get yesterday at Walmart. I also found a hummingbird feeder. My 2 that I had both bit the dust. Now, I have 2 again, because Amy, Daniel and Michaela gave me one for my birthday. It would be nice if the hummingbirds came back now.
Some of the garden is doing well. I think this isn't going to be a good year for gardens. There will be hope for it if we don't have an early winter.
I hope everyone has a fun, safe 4th of July. We're staying home and BBQing hamburgers.

Summer is coming...or so they say.
Today is July 4th, and everyone up here says today is thee beginning of summer. It was cool yesterday and today. Later this week we are suppose to be in the 90's. We had very little snow this past winter, and a lot of rain the last couple of months and everyone is worried about fires.
Tim has been busy mowing our pretty weeds/wildflowers and it is a never ending job. One day we might have a riding mower.
The people behind us are shooting off fireworks and setting off fire crackers. We really hope they don't start any fires. When you live in a wooded area, that is a big concern.
The dogs are so jumpy with all the fire works going off. It's worse than the gun shots we always hear. Chip is so jumpy, the ice dumped from the ice maker and he had to bark like crazy, and then Jake had to, just because Chip was.
It would be nice if warmer, dryer weather is in our future. Personally, I think mid 70's is perfect weather.

What! No rain?
Here it is, the 4th of July, and no rain. It has always, more often than not, rained on July 3rd and or 4th. The 3rd was my birthday and it rained the day I was born, and just about every birthday since then, no matter where we have lived. I'm kind of disappointed. It would be better than temperatures in the 90's. We do have a slight chance of thunder storms tomorrow night and Monday thru Thursday, but it won't be the same.
